what we stand for

  • Equitable and inclusive public schools for every child in every neighborhood
  • Employees included as experts in the decision-making process
  • Students, families, and community members as partners in their schools
  • Employees respected and fairly compensated for their work

Make Your Voice Heard

Over the years, Education Austin has launched numerous campaigns to fight for district-wide pay increases, reduced workloads, shared decision making, and safe working conditions. Campaigns involve surveying issues, targeting decision makers, and orchestrating collective, direct actions to make positive change.

Stand In Solidarity
With Your Colleagues

Education Austin has many committees focused on specific concerns or job-alike issues and support. One way to make the most of your membership is to connect with a committee and join with others to make the changes that our students deserve.

Fight for the Schools
our students deserve

Our schools are the hub of our communities. Change has to start on a worksite-level. Strong, organized worksites are where power begins. Worksite Stewards are trained leaders who build power within their own community.
